Earth and Beyond

This term our class has been working on this DLO about our topic the sun
and other planets. I've learnt many things about the sun and stars around
our solar system. I hope you learn something today after reading my

The Sun - Note Taking Task

This Term our inquiry topic for this term was talking about the sun. This Note
taking task we did was all about the sun what happens how big it is and how far
it is from other stars and other planets. Our class have worked on this for the
past few days but finally finished hope you enjoy my DLO of the sun.

Seasons of the Year!

If you didn't know last week we had Niuean language week. My buddies and I
put together a little song to present to our class but unfortunately we didn't get
to record this song hope you enjoy our little song we put together.

Water Bottle Rocket - Experiment

This week our class predicted what would have happened if you put together
Vinegar and Baking Soda I thought that it wouldn't work but instead I was wrong
it actually worked but the thing was it didn't fly as high as we thought.

Snag Golf - Room 10

Snag Golf

This morning our classroom had the opportunity to have kiwi sport but today was kinda different I had never thought of playing Snag Golf before Snag Golf is just like Professional Golf but for rookies. Hough was our guidance instructor and told us many was of hitting the ball there were different positions that he taught us. Stanley and I tried our hardest to hit the target but couldn't hit the target three times in a row but when it came to us trying to roll the ball in the hoop I knew I could get it in but 3 minutes later I still couldn't get it in but until the man told me to keep my body straight and then it happened I got three in a row in the hoop and I jumped high and started screaming.

Our instructor taught us a really valuable lesson and that's to always keep your aim straight keep on the right side if your right handed then go on the side you think is suitable for yourself. Keeping in the right position was difficult for me because I'm not use to keeping my body straight my body always moves like jelly. Snag Golf was pretty fun because at least we got to do something. During Snag Golf our class had to do the shake out drill for th people from Christchurch.

New Cover for book

Our class room 10 had to put together a Novel Study Presentation to show
what we were reading about the book that I was reading was Alex Rider
a Graphic Novel if you haven't heard of it it's pretty interesting at first then has
more action.

The Big Game

The Big Game

I can already feel the adrenalin running through my veins

Everybody staring at me like I'm some kind of superstar

Running on the field ready for the game

I look at my opponents trying to find their weakness

My heart beats faster and faster as my stomach starts to turn brown. The sound of my family cheering for me gives me a headache like mice trying to say my name.

Army of trolls waiting for the ball to be played.

(more and more come but I know I won’t be stopped.)

I run and run but can’t be stopped everybody charging at the ball.

The ball is kicked up high like catapults fired at a castle..

Stampede of players running over my team mates I get scared.

I run and run and suddenly I collapse like a arrow has struck me down.

The crowd goes wild as I run with the ball and the whistle goes as I get the try. I  get ready to run again I visualize me getting a try and my family still cheering for me.

During this week and last week we have been working on pieces of poems. Our poems had to

include Figurative Language and Descriptive language after we finish we had to present

our poems to the whole class I was nerviest at first but when I started it felt normal.

Tag Rugby History

Today, my buddy and I have created a Timeline about a sport our sport that we picked was Tag Rugby. If you didn't know Tag rugby is called different things around the world for example Kiwi Tag, Oztag, Touch Rugby, Rugby League and Touch Football.

For the past few days I have worked on my A to Z vocabulary for my thinkers keys

Multi Multiplication Methods

For the past few days my buddy and I Cypress worked on a Google Drawing to
show you guys what way is the best way and while we were working I thought
that pllace value was the best way because it was the fastest way.

During this term our class had to write a recount about a childhood memory
that has happened from this past year

Current events - World Record for Stunt Truck Driving

On the 5th of august our reading group had to put together a presentation about
what we read during SSR. The article that I read was about Gregg Godfrey breaking
the record for Stunt Truck Driving.

Place Value Partitioning

Today I have put together this presentation to show people around the world
what my school does during the day. Place value Partitioning is a strategy that
we mostly use to solve Problems.

Multiplicative Thinking

Today our class learnt about a thing called Multiplicative thinking. This DLO of
Multiplicative thinking shows What Multiplicative is and What it can do for you
in the future.

Practising Peaceful Play

Today our whole school had to do some activities based on Practising Peaceful
Play. We had to get in our houses and I was in Tripoli and it was pretty fun.

Pikelets (Technology)

On Thursday me and my buddies have put this presentation together to
help people at home you can make these things if you follow me and my buddies
steps.

Pizza ( Technology)

On Thursday our Technology group were making Pizza and it was very, very
delicious. Actually that was the first time I have had Pizza and it really tasted nice
I'm going home and making more.
