This document is a reflection on the purpose, process and outcomes of our Garden Day.

ACTIVITY: Signs

MATERIALS:

• Paper and crayons
• wood

PURPOSE:

• to tell people what the plant is and describing what it is

PROCESS:

• We went on google and we searched  taros.
• Then we drew taros with Mrs Mimic
• We drew other maori plants.
• Then we and to colour it in and put it on the board.

WHAT WORKED WELL:

• We checked our drawings with the teacher,  and drew them on a board

WHAT DIDN'T WORK WELL

• drawing people kept on making mistakes

WHAT THINGS DID YOU LEARN ?

• I learned to draw well
• I learned information about different kinds of plants

How do plants grow?

1. What is a kamokamo?
Pumpkin
2. How do you grow kamokamo?
Dig a hole and put the seed underground.
3. What can you do with a kamokmo?
You can eat it. Make it into a drink.
