Earth and Beyond

This term our class has been working on this DLO about our topic the sun
and other planets. I've learnt many things about the sun and stars around
our solar system. I hope you learn something today after reading my

The Sun - Note Taking Task

This Term our inquiry topic for this term was talking about the sun. This Note
taking task we did was all about the sun what happens how big it is and how far
it is from other stars and other planets. Our class have worked on this for the
past few days but finally finished hope you enjoy my DLO of the sun.

Seasons of the Year!

If you didn't know last week we had Niuean language week. My buddies and I
put together a little song to present to our class but unfortunately we didn't get
to record this song hope you enjoy our little song we put together.

Water Bottle Rocket - Experiment

This week our class predicted what would have happened if you put together
Vinegar and Baking Soda I thought that it wouldn't work but instead I was wrong
it actually worked but the thing was it didn't fly as high as we thought.

Snag Golf - Room 10

Snag Golf

This morning our classroom had the opportunity to have kiwi sport but today was kinda different I had never thought of playing Snag Golf before Snag Golf is just like Professional Golf but for rookies. Hough was our guidance instructor and told us many was of hitting the ball there were different positions that he taught us. Stanley and I tried our hardest to hit the target but couldn't hit the target three times in a row but when it came to us trying to roll the ball in the hoop I knew I could get it in but 3 minutes later I still couldn't get it in but until the man told me to keep my body straight and then it happened I got three in a row in the hoop and I jumped high and started screaming.

Our instructor taught us a really valuable lesson and that's to always keep your aim straight keep on the right side if your right handed then go on the side you think is suitable for yourself. Keeping in the right position was difficult for me because I'm not use to keeping my body straight my body always moves like jelly. Snag Golf was pretty fun because at least we got to do something. During Snag Golf our class had to do the shake out drill for th people from Christchurch.

Our class room 10 had to put together a Novel Study Presentation to show
what we were reading about the book that I was reading was Alex Rider
a Graphic Novel if you haven't heard of it it's pretty interesting at first then has
more action.

The Big Game

The Big Game

I can already feel the adrenalin running through my veins

Everybody staring at me like I'm some kind of superstar

Running on the field ready for the game

I look at my opponents trying to find their weakness

My heart beats faster and faster as my stomach starts to turn brown. The sound of my family cheering for me gives me a headache like mice trying to say my name.

Army of trolls waiting for the ball to be played.

(more and more come but I know I won’t be stopped.)

I run and run but can’t be stopped everybody charging at the ball.

The ball is kicked up high like catapults fired at a castle..

Stampede of players running over my team mates I get scared.

I run and run and suddenly I collapse like a arrow has struck me down.

The crowd goes wild as I run with the ball and the whistle goes as I get the try. I  get ready to run again I visualize me getting a try and my family still cheering for me.

our poems to the whole class I was nerviest at first but when I started it felt normal.

Today, my buddy and I have created a Timeline about a sport our sport that we picked was Tag Rugby. If you didn't know Tag rugby is called different things around the world for example Kiwi Tag, Oztag, Touch Rugby, Rugby League and Touch Football.

Current events - World Record for Stunt Truck Driving

On the 5th of august our reading group had to put together a presentation about
what we read during SSR. The article that I read was about Gregg Godfrey breaking
the record for Stunt Truck Driving.

Today I have put together this presentation to show people around the world
what my school does during the day. Place value Partitioning is a strategy that
we mostly use to solve Problems.

Multiplicative Thinking

Today our class learnt about a thing called Multiplicative thinking. This DLO of

Today our whole school had to do some activities based on Practising Peaceful
Play. We had to get in our houses and I was in Tripoli and it was pretty fun.

On Thursday our Technology group were making Pizza and it was very, very

On Thursday my Technology group have been making spaghetti on Toast.

On Thursday our Technology group made Red Velvet Muffins and they were
really delicious. I have learnt how to make this and I will try to make it at

Today my class and I had to finish off our Myth that we had to make up
by ourselves. My Myth is about the Fleece the Fleece is a magical object
that can heal people if there hurt or dieing.

Wednesday ( Normal Day)

On Wednesday we had Maths, Writing and Reading as usual we always did writing because in our class our Teacher said that the best Myth writing gets to be made into real life and that's why we keep writing all the time but the thing I like about that is that we get to draw our myth on to a piece of art and my art was about my two character Adam and William and they look so cool. For Maths it was very cool because we were doing a quiz about our time tables and I am really completive I came first like three times in a row and my best time for doing 2 sheets was 1.35 and that's really fast it's faster than me running so that's what basically happened today.

Tuesday (Kiwi Can, Bikes)

Tuesday morning our class room 10 did amazing stuff today we had Kiwi Can, Bikes and Art it was so cool because all 3 things I like are in one day. After morning tea we had Kiwi Can and that day it was all about being a reliable person and trust worthy. After luch time we had Bikes and we were allowed to go on the Bike ramps and it was so awesome because I did this really big ramp but didn't land it I landed on the side of my hip and got injured so thats mainlly what we did today.

Monday (Hockey)

On monday our school entered it's first ever Hockey tournament. Our year 7 - 8 boys and girls went to Loyd elsmore park in Pakuranga. I had a lot of fun even though we didn't come first I still had fun and learnt a few things that I didn't know about Hockey. Hockey was a good experience because we only picked up a Hockey stick for at least 4 weeks and second to last was even better than coming last. Our teachers told us to just have fun and it doesn't matter if you win it matters about how much effort you put in to it and to have fun with your friends.

Today me and my buddy Stanley put together this presentation to show the whole
world what were doing at Tamaki School.

Church

Today we had Church, but I didn't really get to stay inside church because me and my auntie went to the doctors again and bought me some panadoleand other medicine. The headach got worse when our Sunday school finished. It really hurt so I had to lay down in my car for almost 3 to 4 hours. It was really boring, but then it finished. After Church we went to Quire practise and I played basketball with my friend Taniela.

Saturday Morning

Yesterday morning we had Quire practise again. My mum and my brothersd went to the washing and while it was washing we went and bought KFC and it was really, really yum. After I was eating I felt lightheadde and I fewlt like I was going to vomit. I went to the doctor and she said I might have came up with the flu. The flu can really damage your head if you don't see the doctors.

Animal Day

On friday night our school had a teacher leaving from our school. Her name was Miss Mc farlane and she was going to work at the Zoo, so we dressed up as animals for her leaving and I came as Picxachu and mostly all the others came as Unicorns. After school we had church and Quire practise adn it was borinng because all we did was sing. I hope it is sunny tomorow I want to play game all day.

State of Origin

State of Origin

Last night, Me and my family watched State of Origin. It was a really tough game for NSW because they lost but it was really a good game. The score was 10 - 11 to QLD and I was really angry when they one because my favourite team is NSW. When I grow up I want to be in the NSW team so I can meet superstars like James Malone.

Task 24 - Understanding time units/Calender

Today my group for maths had to do some work for our tumble. The work was about us trying to figure out the time and to figure out how many days it would have took people from going

to there teip and coming back.

Monday

Today me and my friends had to work on something called descriptive language. We had to make up a story with just a picture. I had a really fun time today when me and my friends were playing our favourite game and it was called bloon tower defence 5 and I got a medal for winning. So that's what really happended today.

New Bikes

This morning we we had to take off our shoes again. We had to take off shoes because some one stepped on mud and came with it into class. People say it's Andre and I think to. I really had fun today because we got our new bikes and we got to ride them during our sessions. Every class gets a session and a day to ride the bikes our day was meant to be yesterday but was to rainy so they moved to to today.

Working with my friend's

Yesterday, Me, Cypress, and Brodie worked on a movie that could get us a new basketball hoop that couldn't brake. The first person to come up with this amazing idea was Tanisslous. Tanisslous was a smart boy but moved to a different school, so we are doing this for him. We really need a basketball hoop because mostly everyone in our school play basketball and it is a really energetic game and it gets me hyped up.

Today's work was about Myths and Legends. I worked on this task with Etai even though I did
all of the work he still gets some of the credit. I learnt what Myths and Legends are.

Today me and my buddy Willie have put together a presentation about
our museum trip.

School

Today I had fun. We did Technology, Band and many other fun stuff. Today we did a test but a running test we had to see what time we could get if we ran around that field to times and we had to do that everyday. Every time that we got we had to try and beat the time we had the day before. The first time I got was 2. 39 minutes and it took that long because we had to run around that field to times and the next day my time was 2.39 again. I think it's hard for me to stay fit because on the first lap I was coming first and at the end of the running I ended up coming fourth just behind my friend Lolo.

Technology (Date Scones)

Today me and my buddies Stanley and Christopher made Date scones.
If you don't know what Date scones are it's like raisins. Here is a Presentation

Acquaintance's and Friend's

Today we talked about our Friends and our Acquaintance's. We had to complete this
for our Adolescence about relationships.

On Monday it was ANZAC day. We had to finish our poppy so we can talk about how every solider went off to war and fought for our country. ANZAC day is a day of remembrance. ANZAC stands for Australian, New Zealand, Army, Corps.

School

Today I'm at school. Right now my teacher is talking to us about adolescence. She s talking about how we have changes and where about to finish school in 10 minutes. School was a lot of fun I had fun with my friends and fun with the teachers. I'm setting next to Lolo and I think he is doing the same thing as me blogging up to 15 blogs.

Fun at School

Wow! Back at school is tough. I finished putting up all of our work on the walls. Today it was fun we got to ply rugby and I'm really going to try out for the team. Some of the work that we had to do was our bio poems. I had a lot of fun at my school and I'm really glad to be back.

Back to School

Yeah! I'm back to school. Finaly I can really learn something new I leaarnt about our topic Myths and Legends. Some people in my class say that Myths and Legends are stories that can be Non - Fiction and Fiction. I think that Myths and Legends are real and not real because I think that they tell there kids stories to keep them away from certain places and I think that they tell them stories to warn people. Myths and Legends are very important beccause there might even be a myth from your country.

Have any of use heard of ANZAC. ANZAC day is coming up and I'm really excited to sing the national anthem for New Zealand and Australia. ANZAC day is a day of rememberance of all the troops and nurses that went off to war and fought for our nation. ANZAC stands for Australia, New Zealand, Army, corps. I think that it is a nice word because it explains everything about war and why they went to war.

Sunday

Today we had a normal Sunday. First when I got up I had to get dressed for church and then we had to go to church early to practise reading our bible verses and my bible verse and 8 lines and it took be 3 weeks to learn it and I was really glad that I wasn't the last person to learn my one. After we did that we had to do a action song. A action song is something that represents god and how he dies for us. My groups action song was about how the soilders hit god with wips and nailed him up on the cross.

I learnt a good thing about jesus and that's jesus love for us has no limit because it's like in fronty of  you  because he died for us.

Saturday

On saturday morning I had a ruff morning because when I got up I had a saur neck and I didn't notice the time until we watched TV. It was 2:37 in the afternoon and my mum asked me when I went to sleep and I said I went to sleep and 3:00 in the morning and my mumsaid don't sleep late again and I said yep. the thing that I really forgot about was our practise and 4:00 as soon as I knew we had practise I hurried and got dressed to go. When we left I saw our new bike tracks and I thought they looked pretty cool, but my big brother said that it didn't look that good.

As soon as we got to the practise we started. I had fun we my friends because we had a kind of challenge. The last person to stop blowing on there instruments without breathing would win ten dollars and I was the fifth person out and the first was my big brother. He said that he was the champ and no one could beat him and he was right.

Friday

On Friday my family went out for a little trip. We went places that I didn't know of. We had a lot of fun on Friday we went to the pools and my cousins came and we played game and I bit every, but my bigger cousin he is really godod at NBA. On friday we had to practise our chruch singing to get ready to go to Tonga because the songs that were doing our chuch leader said that everything needs to be perfect and told the kids to not muck up the singing. Me and my friends are going earlier than everybody because we want to go places first I want to vist my family and friends and then go to my uncles grave.

After our chuch practise we had to get ready for our church concert. What mainly happens and the concert a man calls people groups and the come and dance and people donate money to our church.

Fast and Furious 7

On wednesday night I watched the most amazing movie ever. Have you guys heard of Fast and Furious 7 it is a really cool movie. My brother said it was better then the other fast and furious movies because it was borring. I agreed with him because all of the other movieas are borring because they don't have that much comedy and action. A good mocive needs a good actor that does stand up comedy. For all use out there that have seen this movie tell me how it went.

Holidays

Today me and my family are on holiday. Today me and my family woke up ate and then went. You must me wondering were we went we went to our church and we had to say verses from the bible and we had to remeber it by next week sunday. Right now me and my brother are playing game were playing NBA 2k13 and I bit him just like I bit my older brother Tim. I really excited that it's holidays, but something is bugging me because I get the feeling that I want to go back to school and learn.

Just before I came I was watching open season 3 and it was funny and exciting at the same time because there are lots of entertainment on there. This is what I do in the Holidays.

Okay so today is a normal Tuesday we wake up brush out teeths and wash our faces, but the thins that I hated about today is that we had to clean up our garden and house and I felt very tired and weak. My mum told us to do the garden or were not allowed to play game, so I got up and finished the garden. Right now i'm playing game NBA 2k13 and that's when I thought that I'd blog. I just finished playing with my big brother Tim and I bit him 86 to 79 and I was releaved because he bit me 6 times and that was my fifth time bitting him.

I'm sorry for not putting up any blogs during the holidays it's just that i'm to caught in out chruch because we have band practises on monday to saturday and Chuch singing from monday to wednesday and we have chruxh tonight. This is that normal stuff I do in the holidays.

Holidays

Yeaaaahhhhh! It's finally holidays. What I think of holidays? I hink that we need holidays for breaks. Jobs, Schools and anything that includes you doing something just like when your doing a job you have to fill out your paper work. In the holidays I do a lot of fun stuff. First we had church on Thursday and and on friday morning we talked about the remembering of how god sacrafised his life for us and our senes. The man that was talking said that gods love for us is strong and we cannot give was god has already gave us.

Today we had church. We had to spilt up into 4 groups and make a little skit from the bible my group did how god was put up onto the cross. Jesus was praying to god to forgive the people that have done wrong and have a bad soul he just told god to forgive the people because his love for us is stronger than anything you know.

Konrad Hurrell

Konrad Hurrell. If you haven't heard of this person his name is Konrad Hurrell. Konrad Hurrell is my hero because he is a great influence in my life and I really like how he never gives up and he always strive for his goals. Konrad has been playing for a while he plays for the Warriors and every game he has he is always perfect even though he doesn't get a try each game I still know that He will always be a good influence in my life.

Why Teacher's are cool?

Let me talk to you about Teacher's. Teacher's are sometimes cool and sometimes not, but you've just got to hang in there. Today my Teacher Miss Aireen and Whaea Petra were in a great mood this morning because today she said there was a suprise and the surprise was Movies. I watched Big Hero 6 because it was the only movie that I haven't seen yet. It was very emotional. I was so emotional that one of the students cried because someone died.

In the afternoon we had shared lunch and we buddied up with room 1 and room 2. It was really cool seeing all the little smiles on them and kind of funny because one kid I saw he had a crazy face when I told him to smile and I started to laugh and so did Brodie. During lunch time the year 7's boys/girls and 8's girls had there imunisations. I was so glad that The year 8 boys didn't have to do there imunisations because I wanted to play basketball with my friends.

So thats why you should be good to your teachers and 

they will give you the same respect back!

Normal Monday

Yesterday it was Monday. Monday for me is pretty normal, but not like a normal persons Monday. After school days my family are included in many things that you might not even have heard of yet and my family is very talented and original. Example: I am included in is Kapa Haka, Band, Sports and cultral arts and one of my relievers say that I am very funny and I have my own style. So let me talk to you about my school I go to Tamaki Primary and I have fun everyday. If you don't know me my name is Brandon, but you must already know that. During school days its normal we do maths, reading, writing and inquiry. Our inquiry this term was to learn more about the difference about Heroes and Real life heroes. During the past days I've learnt that heroes are strong and brave and real life heroes are smart a unique, but mostly I think real life heroes are better because they don't neede super powers to save someone they just use there brain to come up with a plan more better than just getting into the action.

Now this is the hard part. After school my family come back homw eat and then go. You must be wondering where were going. My family goes to church practise and sing acouple of songs and verses from the bible. Sometimes me and my friends from church have to play our instruments for the church, so it would sound way better and when we did it actually sounded like a real song. After that we came home and went to sleep for Tuesday.
